Coca-Cola Lisburn Half Marathon raises £9,500 for charity
The 2010 Coca-Cola Lisburn Half Marathon attracted over 6,000 entries of elite athletes, casual fun runners and wheelchair users.
In addition to giving local people the opportunity to take part in a high profile sporting event, the half marathon provides the opportunity to raise much needed funds for many deserving local charities.
Commenting on Coca-Cola’s sponsorship, Gillian Shields, Public Relations Executive said, “As title sponsor of this annual event we’re delighted to see people of all ages and abilities get out and participate, whether it is the fun run, 10K or half marathon. We were especially proud of our employees who took part, achieving their personal goals, whilst also raising much needed funds for charity.”
The event raised a total of £9,500 for local charities.
